It’s that time of year again when people queue for hours in the freezing cold outside department stores, sleeping bags too, only to be squished like insects when the doors finally open in the rush to grab the best markdowns on offer. Madness? Well yes, it’s great to bag a bargain but hold on… isn’t that what the internet’s for?!
I left the crazy shoppers to their own devices for a few days - I’ve been so busy with work and studies over the past few months, my shopping habits have been well and truly kept in check, much to the happiness of my bank balance. But there’s only so long you can go without a strange feeling that you may be missing out on the bargain of the week/month/year/century (delete as appropriate, depending on how much self control on shopping you have).
WIth so many great deals on in the post-Christmas sales, the temptation was just too much to resist. A whole day of shopping later I bought a lot, returned a lot (couldn’t face the drama of trying things on) so thought I’d share a few of my favourites and what I plan on wearing them with….
Platform boots: Was £150, reduced to £50
When I saw these boots, that was it, instant want. It’s not often I see something that gets that kind of reaction; I feel a lot of fashion is just recycled trends tweaked for a new season, but these were different and they had to be mine. Think of the outfits! Planning on wearing them with skinny black trousers and shirt and sweatshirt for a laidback look that will let the boots do all the talking.
