Berlin Fashion Week

The craziest and the most exciting time of year is right now, it’s time! Milan has just finished and right now I am in the middle of all the madness in Germany for Berlin . I’ve been trying to re-arrange my diary to fit in all the best shows, such as Michalsky, Mongrels in Common, Dimitri, Escada Sport, Allude, Dawid Tomaszewski, Schumacher, Lala Berlin, Kilian Kerner and oh so many more!

Here are a few of my highlights.

Lala Berlin was my favourite show so far! The gorgeous colors of blood red and emerald green were set off against pastle blues and pinks. It was not only the colors that juxtaposed eachother but the fabrics too, such as the thick wool against the delicate silks. I loved the inspiration she took from birds in the patterns she used too!

It was the floral print paired with the plaid, that caught my eye at Escada Sports A/W 2012 show. It was just something I would never have thought to do, but looks fabulous and so fashionable! The playful, mishappen silhouettes were also highlight for me, from this particular show.

I loved everything about Dimitri’s A/W 2012 show! It was vampy, seductive and edging on the sexy side of gothic. The deep purples on silk and fur evoked a luxurious air to the collection, whilst snake skin prints and figure-hugging silhouettes kept it sophisticated and contemporary.

I can’t wait for my next show; watch this space for more highlights from Fashion Week!
