Fresh Faced For Spring

Spring is just around the corner and I think it is time to shake up the make-up with a spring make-up revival! And of course where else to look for the freshest, make-up other than the catwalk shows of Spring 2012!

Feline flicks will always be a fav trick of mine! They are cute and girly yet sexy and seductive all at the same time! This season Cat eyes come in all shapes, colors and sizes. I just love the bold classic strokes as seen at Moschino (bottom right) and the blue embellished eyes at Anna Sui (bottom left) were electrifying! Louis Vuitton (top right) opted for a dramatic look with an intense red lip combo but If you want to tone it down there is alway Badgley Mischka’s (top left) softer version of this catty look!

I have always envied the lovely Katie Perry for being able to pull off technicolour hair styles to be honest I am too precious with my long golden locks to do anything so drastic even though I wish I wasn’t! Pastels are a huge trend this season as we have seen in fashion but the trend has also jump to beauty and hair. For the hottest shades think: strawberry sorbet, bold blue and mint green as seen at both Thankoon (top left) and Mulberry (bottom right). YSL (top right) and Jason Wu (bottom left) made their statement with new style hair accessories. I am so in love with the Hair accessory from YSL!

OMG Girls! Have you caught on to this totally awesome trend? Awesome little artsy appliqués to add a little extra drama to your makeup! All the big name designers are playing with these! I already have a pair of the super cute sequins from Givenchy (top right), I use them to glam up a fresh faced look! Another perfect accessory for immaculate make-up are the pearls by Chanel (bottom left) used both to accessorize make-up and hairstyles. For a little more va va voom however look to Fendi (bottom right) for their gold leaf appliqués and Mugler (top left) for their high shine, high impact lip transfers which are so sure to get you noticed!

A standard trend for all seasons is the smokey eye and for high impact go dramatic. I must admit the smokey eye is my staple night out make-up I love the sultry, seductive look it creates! It is fashions foremost favorite make-up trick. Burberry (top right)  keeps it soft and sultry with shades of brown. Alexander Wang (top right)  takes it slightly further with smudges of black for that just out of bed illusion. For the best effect take inspiration from both Gucci (bottom right)  and Rodarte (bottom left) as they both scream drama I just cannot get enough!

Gotta go… but don’t forget to check back for more fresh trend posts for spring
