I’m getting inspired by the charming smell of roses in the air, that makes me think about Prada‘s Spring-Summer jewelry collection: necklaces, bracelets, brooches and earrings featuring large resin flowers and crystals, which are flawlessly retro and delightfully feminine. With a bit of patience and assorted resin cabochons and pear-shaped rhinestones available online, you’ll have a ball customizing your very own pair of danglers. Follow me…

WHAT YOU NEED:
a rhinestone frog closure
2 or more resin rose cabochons
2 10mm glue-on earrings posts
2 earrings backs
2 1.5″ silver head pins
2 silver eye pins
2 jump rings
E-6000 glue (the best adhesive to use when gluing metals)
flat nose pliers
round nose pliers
wire cutters
a small disposable container or spoon
a toothpick

Using the wire cutters, snip off any hooks or attachments fastened to the rhinestone frog closure.

The tip of the eye pins will be glued to the top of each rhinestone drop. Trim the eye pin to fit. Squeeze a dollop of E6000 glue onto a small wooden spoon or disposable plate. TALLY-Tip: I like to use a small amount at a time, as the glue tends to try quickly.

Use a toothpick to apply a good amount of glue onto the rhinestone drop. Attach the trimmed eye pins and allow them to dry completely.

Push a head pin through the top of the resin cabochon. With the round nose pliers, make a 90 degree bend in the wire.

Keeping the pliers at the base of bend, wrap the wire around the outer jaw to create a loop. Trim away any excess wire.

Apply a large drop of glue to the back of each resin cabochon. Press the ear posts into the glue and allow them to dry completely.

Attach the resin rose and rhinestone drop together with a jump ring.

Your Prada-inspired resin rose earrings are finished…

…and you can feel like a Diva!
